Ticket for Huaynapicchu Mt.- (This walk will be closed from April 1st to 15th on 2016). If you would like to walk the Huaynapicchu mountain after the guided tour at Machupicchu, please let us know asap and add to your booking deposit, passes are also limited… the admission is USD$ 75 per person so we can purchase your ticket for the 2nd turn at 11:00 am.   1. Day 1 PISKACUCHO KM 82 - HATUN CHACA

    Early pick-up from your hotel will begin around 5:30 am. Around 6:00 am to board our private transportation. Make sure you carry your original passport or ISIC card. Our journey from Cusco to Piskacucho takes approximately 2 and half hours, along the way with many beautiful views of the Sacred Valley, the beautiful range of mountains, and the Inca town of Ollantaytambo. Along the way will stop to see one of the most spectacular views MACHUCOLLCA is look out were will see the whole sacred valley, use the bathroom, and enjoy breakfast, before continuing to PISCACUCHO (2,680 m / 8,790 ft) where we will start our hike. There we will meet our camp crew and the porters who will carry our equipment and our personal 7 kilos duffel bags for 26-mile hike. So once we are at the check point, we have to be ready with passports in hand from here we begin our inka trek with a gentle climb and relatively level terrain as we follow the course of the river, surrounded with views of Mount Veronica (5,750 m). This part is easy walk passes through a forest of giant cactus and native bushes. And having contact with local farmer and enjoying 3 archeological sites that your tour guide will show you the history of these ancient sites after 5 hours will meet our chef to have our meals.

    After lunch, another gentle and gradually hike 2 hours until we arrive to Hatunchaca our camp site for the first day (3,000 m / 9842,52ft), so around 4 pm we are arriving to the camp site where our tents, sleeping pad and dulffel will be setup ready to have a siesta and then will make an introduce of our porter and finally will enjoy our happy hours and ending with a delicious dinner around 7 pm.

  2. Day 2 HATUN CHACA - LLULLUCHA PAMPA - DEAD WOMAN`S PASS - PACAYMAYO CAMP

    Usually, we like to wake up with a nice and hot coca tea around 5:45 am after one hour we will enjoy our breakfast and them we continue our hike from HATUNCHACA camp around 7:00 am. This day will be our hardest and challenging day of hike, but one of most spectacular views and surrounding snow-covered peaks. We reach in a 3-hour hike to our lunch camp LLULLUCHAPAMAPA, then another 3-4 hours to our night camp at pacaymayu.

    The beginning start with a 1200 meter or 3900 ft ascent up to the WARMIWANUSCA (DEAD WOMAN’S) Pass at 4,215 m/ 13828,74ft. Along the way, we ascend steeply uphill through the originals Inka trail steps where you can see several species of birds as hummingbirds, falcons etc and flora as will explore beautiful microclimates so From this point our lunch, you can see the highest pass ahead after the lunch 2 more hours along a large number of steps to the Hight pass , some of them newly laid to protect the mountain from erosion. You can walk at your own pace, stopping to catch your breath whenever you like. This last hard climbing brings us to Dead Woman’s Pass, once our group reaches this pass, we will have a hot glasses of coca tea and if we have enough time will take a rest break before to continue the steep steps descending all the ways down to Pacaymayo Valley. So here will feel that your breath returns as we are descending along this downhill to the camp site.

  3. Day 3 PACAYMAYU - PUYUPATAMARKA

    As every day will wake up with hot coca tea and after one hours our breakfast then will begin a second ascent, this time to RUNCURACAY an archeological site located before to reach the Runcuracay Pass (3,950 m / 12,956 ft). From the pass, in clear weather, you can look back to the Dead Woman’s Pass and forward to snow-capped peaks and will understand how is the end of the ANDES. From here we hike 2 hours, most of the trail is downhill or gently down steps until we reach to one important religious site SAYACMARCA.

    After one amazing guiding tour, we keep walking for 45 minutes until CHAKICOCHA where we will eat our lunch (3,600 m / 11811,02ft). and them 2 hour to arrive until our amazing camp site this is one of the most spectacular camp sites and unique This will be our coldest night on the trail, at around +3 degrees C in December and -4 C in June.   4. Day 4 PHUYU PATAMARKA, SUN GATE MACHU PICCHU AGUAS CALIENTES

    This day is the most spectaculars hike and exceptionally beautiful day we will enjoy archeological sites of PHUYUPATAMARCA, INTIPATA and the mini MACHUPICCHU WINAYWAYNA impressive sites guided by your professional tour guide. This trail is of well-kept paved stone steps, still in great condition after many centuries so After visiting this PHUYUPATAMARKA site, we will descend about 1,300 meter 4265 feets dawn to WINAYWAYNA another inca site the mini MACHUPICCHU we recommend the use of trekking poles all the way going dawn from PHUYUPATAMARKA to WIÑAYWAYNA after our last lunch with our porters we will say goodbye with a ceremony to our team, and then we keep hiking to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where we’ll enjoy our first views of Machu Picchu and after many pictures It takes about 45 minutes of hike gentle dawn inka trail until MACHUPICCHU so, we’ll have a chance to enjoy the sunset and to see MACHU PICCHU, before taking the bus to your hotel in Aguas Calientes.

  5. Day 5 DISCOVER MACHUPICCHU

    Today we will visit MACHUPICCHU, a magical and spiritual place and one of the seven wonders of the word.

    In 2019 the government changed the rules for visitors to Machupicchu, with less people now being allowed in, and the permitted stay being shorter. So, to make the most of our time there and to fully enjoy this once in a lifetime experience, we will start our tour by taking a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu (the departure time will depend on the time of the entrance tickets you have reserved). Once we arrive, we will have a 3-hour guided tour through the different sections of Machupicchu- such as the urban sector, religious sector, and agricultural sector. After the tour we will head back to Aguas Calientes by bus and from there we will take a train back to Cusco. Usually, the train we take will be the one leaving at 2:55pm, but this will depend on your schedule. The train will take us to Ollantaytambo, from where we will take a bus back to the hotel, dropping you off at your hotel around 7:30pm.
