Amazing Experience - Pachamama! The whole journey was amazing! Taking the short Inca Trail in the first day was trully magical! It would not be the same to only visit the site as we did during our second day.Jose explained everything about his ancestors and the beauty involved in the Inca history. The best guide to Macchupicchu Jose was referred to me by a friend, and the experience couldn't have been better. He was very attencious from the first time I spoke to him, months before the trip, and he helped us and arranged everything so that we had the best possible experience. He booked all the bus and train tickets for us to get to Macchupicchu, as well as our hotel stay, and accompanied us on the Inka Trial: a 14-kilometer trek through the Inca Valley until we reached Macchupicchu. Personalized service in Peru This is a fantastic company if you’re looking for a personal touch. Jose designed a customized trip to Choquequirao for us (a site I highly recommend to visit) while managing the logistics seamlessly. The food and gear were top quality. An Incredible 6-Day Trek to Choquequirao My husband and I did a six-night trek with Jose to Choquequirao, ending with a tour of Machu Picchu, and we had an absolutely amazing time. It was a stunningly beautiful route. We really appreciated the phone meeting with Jose months before, which helped us choose the right trek and got us so excited and well prepared. When we had to make some last-minute changes to accommodate an injury, Jose went above and beyond to make sure that the trip could still happen for us. It was so helpful that José provided all the equipment - all the gear was excellent and we were very comfortable and felt very well taken care of throughout. There were a couple instances where Jose had just the right medication for us too - he was incredibly well provisioned! The food was delicious and plentiful, and the chef even surprised me with a cake on the morning of my birthday!Jose is clearly passionate about the local history and culture, and we loved learning about the region from him throughout the trek. The absolute best José is the absolute best. I traveled solo with a small group of strangers, and as a solo female traveler, I cannot recommend him enough! He was with my group for 10 days, and he went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe, healthy, and having the most wonderful experience. He was so generous with his time and knowledge, and is a great and patient conversation partner for any Spanish learners hoping to visit Peru. Jose is the best! Jose is the best, most patient, prepared, knowledgeable, organized, and thoughtful tour guide I've ever had!There is so much that impressed me about Jose, but a couple memories I'll always remember:I visited Peru with my husband and mother. I was a little concerned about my mother hiking the Inca trail - she's getting older and doesn't hike often. If you've never done the Inca trail, it's got a TON of steps leading to Machu Picchu. My mom was having a rough time. But Jose was right there by her side, letting her use his arm, encouraging her with compassion and kindness. Because of Jose's caring presence, belief in her abilities, and understanding, my mom was able to cross hiking the Inca trail off her bucket list - an experience of a lifetime, not just for her, but for me as her daughter to do with her. Without Jose, this would have never been possible, and I will treasure this memory that he made possible for the rest of my life.I also need to celebrate Jose for his patience with our larger travel group. We were a small group, but almost everyone had unique dietary needs. One person didn't eat red meat, one didn't eat dairy, one didn't eat gluten, etc. Jose was so patient with these dietary needs, interpreting the menus for each of us, asking questions of wait staff, and helping narrow the dietary options for each member of the group. It was so impressive to see, and he was the best advocate we could've asked for when it came to these and other personal needs.Much to my surprise, I struggled with altitude sickness during our trip. We were having lunch, and I had a short fainting spell. I expressed that I was feeling light-headed, and Jose rushed to my side. He was there when I fainted and supported me in his arms. He was prepared for this situation. He had oxygen monitors and natural remedies and rallied the locals to come to my aid. I did not feel alone or scared in my time of need, and felt in good hands with Jose. I think I remember him mentioning that he was actually an EMT as well, which was definitely a skill and expertise worth having in a tour guide when you're traveling through the Andes. I recommend Jose to all of my friends interested in traveling Peru, and I hope to cross paths with him again. Amazing If you want to travel through the amazing and beautiful mountain history of where the Incas walked, look no further! Jose was an amazing guide, and was very passionate about his home land. Throughout the tour, he would take the time to talk about the history behind the Inca trail, and check-in with the group if they needed any necessities. Great experience on the Inca trail So I was participating in the two-day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Jose is a super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guide. I can fully recommend joining his tours. He knows how to wrap history into inspiring and interesting stories and takes care of his group really well. Super thumbs up 👍
